La poiana è un rapace diurno assai presente nella zona di Solonghello (AL).
Con il suo alternarsi di vegetazione erbacea in cui cacciare e vegetazione arborea in cui nidificare, la poiana ama questo tipo di campagna alberata ed è sempre alla ricerca di un posatoio sopra il quale osservare dall’alto il terreno circostante.
The buzzard is a diurnal bird of prey very present in the Solonghello area (AL).
With its alternation of herbaceous vegetation in which to hunt and tree vegetation in to nest, the buzzard loves this type of wooded countryside and is always looking for of a perch above which to observe the surrounding terrain from above.

Grande alleata dell’economia agricola, la poiana si ciba infatti di piccoli roditori, micromammiferi, coleotteri e piccoli uccelli che mangerebbero l’uva della vigna, di cui lei invece non è ghiotta. È per me un piacere averla come committente finale.
A great ally of the agricultural economy, the buzzard feeds on small rodents, micromammals, beetles and small birds that would eat vineyard grapes, of which she, on the other hand, is not fond. It’s a pleasure for me to have her as the final client.
Per sviluppare al meglio il progetto ho riletto morfologia, abitudini e caratteristiche di questo splendido rapace: non essendoci altri appoggi nei dintorni, il sito dove verrà posato il posatoio – il pezzo da me pensato – dovrebbe accogliere e richiamare la posa della poiana.
To better develop the project I reread the morphology, habits and characteristics of this splendid bird of prey: since there are no other supports in the surrounding area, the site where it will come once the perch has been laid – the piece I thought of – it should accommodate and recall the laying of the buzzard.
